Some rockwood design oversights - little things count 2502s

Just took posession of a 2502s Rockwood Mini Lite. It replaced a 19ft TT that was a bit too small. The Rockwood at about 3 feet bigger & with a slide gives a surprising amount of more space. Just pleased in general but annoyed at some of these design oversights, all that were not with the older unit.

1 The battery ground & the break-away switch are located at the tongue right where the WD hitch requires the bar bracket to be attached. I'm not sure how to move them away for clearance.

2 There are no wall switches anywhere, not at the 2 entry doors, or the bath, or the bed area. The overhead lights have a small (about 3/8") rocker switch on the bezel edge. Wind up fumbling in the dark at night searching for the right edge. The DW can't always reach up to do this.

3 No 120v outlets at the dinette. Would be nice for the toaster & other appliances.

4 The overhead storage cabinets, while there are many, are only 10 inches high. The older unit had 14" cabinets which are almost 30% larger. We had used shelves to give two tiers of 7" that provided space for most boxes & jars.

I know, nothing is perfect, just expected a bit more.

Another really good reason to spend time playing house before you decide to buy.

Have a look below the seat cushion where your calf muscle would be while seated.

I found a 120v outlet there. Made a world of difference, where I could plug in my coffee maker in and leave it on the table.
