Spring cleaning
Pulled my 2506S out of storage and cleaned her up. I have to take her to my dealer for my first warranty check up and service.
What do you think the rockwood's "free" life time warranty will cost me and what do they do or check?

The service department will probably charge you $200 for the free warranty.

$200 is the "estimated" number
Service manager quoted me around $200 for the service or annual inspection required to keep my "free" warranty active. The service writer seemed like a really nice guy and kept smiling the whole time I was there.
I need an inspection as well. In Texas we have to get inspected to get registration (plates).
I will drop trailer off at dealer later today. First I need to stop and get a bottle of whiskey and jar of Vaseline before dropping trailer off. Hopefully the Vaseline won't be needed.

RustLw001: It's not a FR warranty. About one dealer in each state offer this third party warranty. Check out RV warranty forever at: http://www.rvwarrantyforever.com/
The warranty itself doesn't cost anything, just the mandatory annual documented inspection of systems. But this is not the annual state safety inspection (brakes etc) it's for the major appliances too, LP, AC, water, range fridge, microwave etc.

NO such thing as a Rockwood lifetime warranty.
Nor does FR offer such a thing.
All FR products come with a 1 year factory warranty.
Most FR products have an available 2nd year factory warranty that costs between $150 and $250, depending on the towables.
2nd year warranty is only available for towables. And some brand's are not eligible.

Thanks Seldent. I have never heard of this warranty service before. I checked out the link and it just seems to good to be true. So the annual inspection of the trailer cost's about $200 per year and if everything checks out OK, the warranty stays in place. So, the owner of the trailer just needs to be sure to maintain everything in proper working order so it can pass the inspections, right? And if while doing so, the fridge or the microwave, hot water heater, furnace, etc. breaks, it is covered under the warranty? This really does sound to good to be true.
I originally signed up at the dealer for Comprehensive Tire Protection and the brochure stated it even covered blowouts. But when I tried to claim after a blowout I was instantly denied. I fought very hard and was finally reimbursed. After the second blowout, they denied instantly again, stating blowouts were not covered. I dropped the insurance/warranty and fought for full repayment of the contract and got my money back.
I would be most interested in finding out how many people have used this warranty service and been successful with any claims. Sorry, I did not mean to highjack the thread, but this intrigues me.

The RV warranty forever, for me, isn't that valuable. My local dealer charges $200 to inspect and clean all the systems. If I don't participate and the AC compressor goes bad in year six, I will have save $1200 up to that point and can pay for it then. I will probably feel different if all the major systems go bad in year six.
And if you don't properly document with a service department and send in the warranty card every year, your forever warranty will expire.

Update on warranty inspection
I picked up my trailer Saturday. They turned it around in 3 days. $205 for the above listed Forever warranty inspection.
Claimed !.8 hours of repairs. Dicored 4 small cracks on roof, checked wheel bearings grease, Ok. Blew out heater, drained and clean water heater tank. Checked for propane leaks, OK.
Funny thing is I had a very rusty anode and only the wire remained. The tank drain was really rusted. They left the tank drained and the anode inside door.
They never mentioned it was bad or that I had a problem. In their defense the service manager was off on Sat. and I just talked with parts and a cashier.
