Spring in New England?

Okay, I am just a visitor in this area. It is 9:15 PM local time on 3/26/14 and I just went outside my hotel to smoke a cigar. How do you locals even think about camping this time of year or in the very near future? I am on a business trip in Leominster, MA at the moment with visions of my first camping trip in 3 weeks in southern Missouri. This is insane up here! I want warm weather! And I want it now!

Yeah, not long ago I used to live just west of Leominster, if your looking for summer up there check back in July, or August, and don't blink!

I want to come back up this way in the late summer, fall timeframe with the camper and DW. I have seen some areas that are gorgeous and want to explore some of the early history of our country. But right now, on this visit, it is supposedly spring; but it is no where in sight.
