Thinking of ordering a new Ultralite 5th wheel. Wondered if anyone ordered a stronger frame from the factory. Would like heavier I-beams for a couple of reasons. I would like to mount bikes on the rear bumper. On our present trailer the walls separated from the floor on rough roads due to the frame flexing.
Is it possible to order a trailer with heavier I-beams?
I've never heard of it done. I would think a stronger frame would be more weight and possibly require bigger axles and wheels to support the load to still have decent cargo carrying capacity.

I didn't think about the larger tires & axles. Makes sense. I make ask the dealer. It may be too costly.
Kinda defeats the purpose of an Ultra lite doesn't it? If you want a heavier frame, stay away from the Ultra lites.
I agree but we have never seen a floor plan we like better & our dealer doesn't carry another line we would buy. The dealer is exceptional to deal with.
