Stupid, Stupid, Stupid...

Note to self: re-install water filter housing before inserting winterizing hose into antifreeze jug & turning on pump. Wish I would have taken pictures of the mess so you could see how stupid a move that really was!

Been there, done that, have T-shirt, you are not the first and will not be the last. Wasted a gallon in a very short time.

Two years ago I forgot to close the low point drains. That was one gallon of anti-freeze on the ground rather quickly.

Never did it with pink stuff, just ordinary water. And lots of it.

Blub-blub-blub...

I have a bag of "aquarium rock" that are sort of round and smooth. I take the filter out of the canister and fill it with the rocks so I use less anti-freeze. Can do the whole trailer with just a gallon by doing that.

I did the same as oakman. Could not figure out why it was not coming out the tap till I looked outside and the driveway was pink.😳

I read a post that said put an empty water bottle in the filter housing. It saves about 16oz of pinky juice. I tried it today and felt purty smart.

Old joke: Professor fills large beaker with rocks, asks students if there's room left. They say, NO. Then he adds a bunch of sand and asks if there's room left. They say, NO. Then he pours 2 cups of water into the beaker and asks the students what this tells us. A kid in the back yells out, "It means, no matter how full you think you are, there's always room for beer!
