Summertime

We have a Rockwood UltraLIte 2304DS. When the temperature gets in the 90's, the AC can't keep up. It is a 15K AC. Who ever put the skylight in this trailer should be banned from RV's for life. The amount of heat coming in from the sun is unbelievable.

We are packing for a trip to a "slightly" cooler place. I turned the AC on this AM with the temp in the trailer high eighties. It is now 83. This is with reflectix in the skylight and all windows.

If the trailer is already in the upper 80's to start it's going to to take quite some time to bring all the material in the trailer down where it is not contributing to the temp inside. We all know how poorly these trailers are insulated. Living and camping in Texas only compounds the problem especially if you camp out in the open with no shade. I have a 2304DS also but don't have to experience the direct sun living in the Northeast. I only have a 13.5k A/C unit in my trailer and have not experienced camping in 90+ temperatures and out in the direct sunlight all day. Since you have already relied on shielding your windows and skylights I'm not sure there is much more you can do. How long has your A/C run? Have you given it enough time to cool everything down? Probably will take a while...

It ran for over 8 hours before cutting off, set at 80 deg.

Not sure of your unit, but if it is ducted, use the bypass until (if) it cycles off.

They make foam pillows to stuff in the vents and skylights.

Here's one: https://www.amazon.com/Camco-45192-I.../dp/B0024E6QX0

Yep, Texas heat can do that. The pillow vent insulators are a must. TT AC struggles to keep up this time of year.

X? On all. On one a/c...if setting up on hot afternoon... it takes several hours to get cool.
