Surge Guard

Installed an in-line Surge Guard in a new 8289WS and have been getting reverse polarity/ground fault messages only when running either of the 2 roof airs (Coleman 15's which draw 15-16 amps each). The water heater and microwave (10 and 15 amps respectively) don't produce any faults.
My conclusion is that there is a wiring fault in the AC's or their neutral is perhaps bonded to trailer ground-either case bad.
Any other logic appreciated...

Reverse polarity means the hot (black) and white (neutral) are reversed. Check where they are hooked up to the unit and at the breaker for each.

Is this only at one location (Like a seasonal site) or everywhere?
The surge guard only checks incoming power, I think (could be wrong here).

Perhaps your wiring from the socket to the surge guard is loose and the neutral or ground wire is being disconnected by vibration from the AC (enough to cause the fault condition).

In any case it is a problem to be chased down as it can only get worse.

Manufacturer says emf or negligible stray voltage to blame. In either case no problem until the surge guard shuts down power which it hasn't. And this morning the issue has not reappeared-all appears normal. ??!!

Normal ops on a 50amp pedestal. The only issue occurred at home on a dedicated 20 amp circuit; And that was only once.
