Test Camping at Rambling Pines!

The wife and I took our new Rockwood 2703WS on a quick Fri, Sat, and Sun and Rambling Pines in Woodbine MD. It's only a few minutes from our house and we thought it would be a great way to get to know the trailer. We had a great time despite rain and then snow on Saturday afternoon/evening. We loved the electric fireplace and the furnace kept the unit very comfortable. We learned a LOT. For instance, new ovens smoke BIG TIME and 15 feet of sewer slinky doesn't go 20 feet!

All the systems worked perfectly and we had a great time. We can't wait for our long weekend at Hatteras KOA in April!

I attached some photos before the rain and snow came through.

Nice! We took our Rockwood out for the first time last year and it snowed as well.

If you haven't used the furnace yet, be aware that it will be as bad as the oven the first time you use it. Solution, while home, open windows and run furnace for 30 mins.

Wonderful! I liked it there (except for the extra charge for kids- that increases my cost quickly with just my 2).

We actually will be there for 2 weeks sometime in June (still working out our summer schedule).

Welcome Marty. We have been camping at OBX for years. We will also be at Hatteras the last week of April and the first week of May. We will be staying at Hatteras Sands. The KOA is nice and on the beach side. The only reason we are staying at Hatteras Sands is because we spend a lot of time fishing at Ocracoke and its on the south end and close to the ferry. We have also stayed at Camp Hatteras and Ocean Waves; both are close to the KOA. Congrats on the new unit. Message me if you need any info.

Hi Marty, We also used Rambling Pines. As with you guys it's only about 20 minutes away from the house near Westminster. As a matter of fact, that site you are in was one we were also in during one of our group trips with friends.

Congrats on the new trailer. Its very nice looking. We will probably be upgrade to a size close to yours in the future.

Enjoy!

Test Camping at Rambling Pines!

Do we want to coordinate a trip to Ramblin Pines where a handful of us all go in the near future?

Actually, I made this a new thread:
