Yes, we have replacement coverage and we will be better off after all is said and done. After sifting through the debris it's amazing these campers hold up driving down the road. Just screws and glue holding them together.

We live in the Twin Cities and currently have our 2509s Mini Lite parked in the driveway. I sat at the window looking at it the whole time those storms moved through last week. We got a lot of rain but not much wind, thankfully.

Glad to hear all are safe from harm. Sad to see that happen. Guess that's why we have insurance. DW is always concerned about severe weather when we are camping....that's a good example why right there.

Stay safe out there everybody!

Tornadoes have circular wind speeds 250mph and above. Regular homes aren’t even safe from that type of power, let alone an RV.
Glad nobody was hurt.

were you in the cannon falls or waterville area? they had 5 confirmed tornados in that area. we are slightly east of you and watched the weather with interest. Kamp Dels was hit really hard, but nobody was hurt. lots of destroyed trailers. glad everyone was safe and that you have a replacement coming so you can enjoy next year!

Wow, that's incredible. At least it was just stuff that got damaged. On the lighter side.... We now know how to get a sofa bed out of a camper. Geeze.

Sorry to see your trailer that way. Glad to hear you will be getting a replacement. I rode out a storm in Oshkosh a couple of years ago with 80 mph winds. No place to run to and I debated on staying in the trailer or going to the car. I stayed in the trailer but after seeing your pix, I think the car might have been a safer option. Of course in a tornado, nothing is safe.

This is so sad. I have the same year and model trailer. Thank God you were not in it.

Is this what an Ikea flat pack version might look like?

(sorry if this offends).

Oh my word!

New to the forum and those pictures made my heart do a stutter step, but at least got me to finally post. I am so sorry to see this- I have not read entire thread yet but will throw my prayers out there that nobody was even near it and if they were I hope they are ok.

Really? Do you really mean to imply that a camper that isn’t “light” would have held up any better?? Get real.

Fortunately, no injuries to anyone in the camp ground. Everyone present made it out safe.

Yes, we loved our 2018 2706ws. It looks like we will be getting a 2019 2706ws on order. The only thing we are doing different is getting the bigger AC.

Just saw the videos from Kamp Dels last night. Scary! We've been there many times. Sad to see all the mature trees lost, not to mention all the property damage. So glad nobody was hurt!

Sorry to hear, glad you were not occupying it at the time. We were on the road to our camping destination NW of the major part of this storm, drove through some downpours. Yes, the way they're built I think just tipping over might total them. No match for a tornado.

Not to take away from the sober aspect of this thread, but this made me laugh:

Fortunately, I never had mother-in-law problems, mine was always wonderful to me. But I still appreciate good mother-in-law jokes!
