That is some scary stuff! Looks like a stack of playing cards fell over, everybody wants a light camper so there goes all the strength.

As a full timer, seeing these pictures is a good reminder to take those weather warning serious. An RV is no match for mother nature! When the warnings sound, find shelter somewhere more substantial.
We stayed this summer at a campground in Oklahoma. They had 2 tornado shelters available. It was disturbing that they needed them and yet comforting that they at least took the safety of their guest serious.
Sorry for the lose but as other have said, things can be replaced, glad everyone was safe and thanks for the reminder.

Sad to look at. Glad you were not in it. I'll be taking my weather alert radio along when I get the chance to travel in those severe weather regions.

Thank you. Yes, we have replacement coverage on it. We will be ordering a new one in a few days so we have it for the spring.

Wife and I were down in your neck of the woods camping (at Frontenac State Park) on Thur when that storm went through. Not sure where the tornadoes touched down, but they missed the campground. We were actually sitting in a restaurant (Harbor Bar?) in wisconsin having dinner when it blew through. We stayed put and had a couple beers until it blew over.
Sorry about the camper but glad you're ok.

Hopefully you have insurance because these things are all replaceable. So great to hear you weren’t near it when it hit and a great example for anyone that thinks “riding it out” is best option for storms. They’re mobile after all

A tornado went through Diamond, IL about 4-5 years ago. There was a large RV dealer there; I drove past it a day or two later, the entire front half of his lot was turned into matchsticks.
I don't know when these pics were taken, but here's a Bing Maps pic sometime afterwards. The lot's been cleared, but he only has a relative few RV's at this point.
Here's a Google Maps pic. Seems like he's starting to bounce back.
