Time to trade?

We've used our Rockwood 8312 SS for a little while now (this is our 3rd season with it), and we've been very satisfied with it. This is our first camper of any kind, and I think we did pretty well with our selection as newbies.

The bunkhouse has come in handy at times, but when we were at Richmond for the NASCAR race last month, and it rained (poured) for 36 straight hours, our entire group (including some friends who were staying elsewhere but were with us for tailgating) were pretty much stuck inside all together...all the time. We suddenly realized that the "living space" was closing in on us.

We selected this particular model (a 2013, which we bought in the late fall of 2012) for its outside kitchen, and at that time we could only find the full outside kitchen in the bunkhouse model.

Now that we've used it a few times (we really only take it to NASCAR races--hoping to make it to the beach at some point), I'd give up that bunkhouse for more livable space on the inside. Granted, we're outside if weather permits, and we mostly cook outside and would not want a TT without an outdoor kitchen--but I've started looking for different floor plans that would give us a walk-around bed in the master and more space in the living area.

We really like our Rockwood Ultra-Lite, so I've been concentrating on those, and I think I'd like the 8293 IKRBS. It has 3 slides, so more room and storage in the bedroom. No bunkhouse, but you pick up a kitchen island, plus it still has the familiar full outside kitchen. I like the look of the new frameless windows, too.

What I don't think I'd like is the free-standing dinette. With the dinette like we have now you can sleep someone there, and without the other bedroom/bunkhouse, it'd be great to have that option.

Not sure if I can talk the hubs into trading since he really likes the idea of being able to sleep "10." We've had as many as 8, and that was more than enough for my taste. Throw in some rainy weather, and you better be sure you really like those people...

Any advice out there? We don't have buyers' remorse--just after living in it, I think you start thinking "If I was buying one today, I'd get _____."
