14 inch or 15....? If 14 I went to the 215/75R14 Goodyear endurance and have not looked back.… 215's load range D.... I think the 205's are only rated load range C, but I am not sure….Replace valve stems with metal valve stems...….

i have the Goodyears on my my 2504s. i think i went up to D rating on them.

i dont have any negatives to say about them. they seem to have made the trailer more stable towing as well.

Many, many, many, many, many tire threads here.

The three most mentioned are Goodyear Endurance, Maxxis M8008 and Carlisle HD. (in no particular order) If you are able, it is always wise to go up a load range C to D or D to E.

I am in the exact same situation as the OP. I have about 7k on my Castle Rocks, exact same trailer - 2504s.

I am planning to go with the Goodyear endurance tires in the stock size 205/75 R14. They are load rated D and cost about $100 each. My only hesitation is the rims. Those stock Lionshead rims are rated at 1900 pounds an the tire can go over 2000 lbs @ 65 psi. Not sure if it's worth just replacing rims while I do the job or whether the old rims will suffice.

Discount tire offers tire and rim combos that come pre-balanced, but not sure if they offer balancing on trailer tires. If you have to pay someone to mount and balance, then this may pay for itself and get you a more suitable rim for the tire's specification.

I didn't want to change ratios or size because the axles are pretty close together as it is. I don't want to risk any clearance issues. I am currently waiting for a warranty repair for a cracked fresh water tank, so have been on the fence with the tires. Let us know what you decide to go with. This is my next purchase.
