Thanks for sharing your photo.

I haven’t actually weighed it, but I would guess around 300# on the ball.

Ya I guess I’ll have to tell the wife she will have to take less close next time.
Not saying nothing could happen but I have been hauling boats with every fifth wheel I’ve owned for about 25 years now. Here in Michigan it’s a pretty common practice, you see a lot of them.

Through some research see if you can find the original manufacturer of your truck's Axles. I found that mine made by Dana Spicer have a gross axle rating of 11,500 lbs on the rear. GM rates them at 6,200 lbs. I understand that the rating system is there for safety purposes but if you are going to be slightly overweight just be sure that you have added suspension upgrades (Timbren SES) and your tires are within the load range.

I pull a 2014 8289 with my 2011 Ford F250 Superduty. 65 mph on cruise anywhere I want to go and I live in the Pacific Northwest with lots of hills. I get an average of about 11 MPG. Up to 12.5 on the flats. Sits level without any modifications to the trailer.

Congratulations on the new trailer; I also have a 2018 8299bs and a 2016 GMC 2500 duramax crewcab , added a extra leaf spring and the timbren kit , it squats only 3 1/2 inches , I only pulled it twice without the spring addition except from storage to home, I am eager to see how it handles on the highway next week, but I am very pleased so far.
