Trailer # 3 is a Rockwood 2306 MiniLite

Hopefully we have landed on the right unit for our family.

Trailer # 1 was an RPOD - too small and pop out bunk was not immune to campground noise and leaked.

Trailer # 2 was a VIBE 6504 - Nice layout however I was never to comfortable with single axle configuration even after I upgraded to 6K

Trailer # 3 - 2015 Rockwood 2306 MiniLite - Please tell me this is the perfect trailer for a family of four + 1 little dog.

It's perfect to escape a family of four + 1 little dog so that should be of value!

Good luck and happy camping!

It IS perfect for a family of four. We are a family of five, and outgrew ours when our son became a teenager.

I LOVED our Mini-Lite. We traded it Saturday and I was sad to see it go. Such a great little camper and so well laid out.

Did you get the Murphy bed?

We had a Vibe 6502 for one season and quickly realized we needed something bigger (and really like the idea of dual axels). We traded up last year to the Mini Lite 2504. It's a similar layout to the 2306 but that dinette slide really opens it up. We really like the mini lites and camped many times last season. No problems. Planning our first trips of 2015 right now. Enjoy your new camper!

We ordered a 2306 in early January. It just arrived last week, and although we haven't picked it up yet, we have been through the demo process. We think it's the PERFECT camper for our family of 3 (9-yr old daughter).

I like your set up with the 2504. It is a nice layout but too heavy for us at almost 5000 lbs dry weight. I believe the Durango has tow capacity 6200 lbs, our Traverse only 5200 lbs. I am looking at options for a load distribution hitch and sway control. What did you equip your set up with ?

We use the Equalizer that we had for the Vibe, which we towed with a Highlander. To your point we did have to upgrade our tow vehicle in order to tow the longer/heavier 2504. We have the Hemi Durango so it can tow up to 7200 lbs. It was the smallest big SUV we could find and afford.

I like the equalizer and believe it provides good control, but I certainly feel it on the highway when a big rig passes us. The equalizer should work for your setup.

Can't help you on this one. Our first camper was an RPod 182G... Our two kids got bigger, and after one season, we upgraded to a 2306. After two seasons the kids got even bigger and we added a 30lb dog to the family, so we moved up to our current camper, an Apex 288BHS.

We love our 23lb (family of 4 and little dog). 23lb is the sister to the 2306.

We will likely upgrade next year as our oldest turns into a teenager tomorrow. Top bunk is getting a little cramped.

Enjoy
