Since none of these pin locks have a tow rating, do y'all remove them and replace with a standard pin and clevis while on the road?

Don't understand what you're referring to as far as tow rating on a pin lock. There's no load on a pin lock or I don't understand where you're putting it.

I think they are referring to the hitch pin, the one that holds your wdh to the truck
