only one said "box length" and he's wrong when you're talking the posted spec length of 25' 8".
and why would the 2502 be measured any differently than every other TT in the RV industry?
ball/hitch to bumper is the industry standard when the spec is exterior length.

only the numbers in the model number(2502 for example), MAY be box length or inside living space length.

I was told by a dealer at the show that the model numbers are not always indicitive of the box space in all cases. The specs exterior length is as the others have noted from hitch to pumper /spare tire. Unfortunately they did not have this model to view today.

The 1989 17' we had was actually a 14' box while the current 2003 25 we have is a 25+'box. Did the convention change or did the builders change convention? Whoknows?

If you have the trailer, do you have a tape measure?

I know in some (Storage Yards-Boat & RV) they will let you know (REAL Quick) what your OAL is! If you have a (Bike rack, gas grill, spare tire,on the unit) it ALL gets added. They charge by the FOOT,they don't care what the MFG,Dealer,or Numbers on the side say! Youroo!!

Bumper to ball, for sure. We had a 25' tape measure with us when we checked out the 2502 we're buying, and from spare tire to ball was somewhere around 26'. (The tape ran out.) We didn't measure the interior length, though.

I get that the trailer needs to be measured from back of the bumper to the ball hitch, but I'm wondering if that is what the manufacturer is using when they say the trailer is 34'9". Looking at trailers online, I always wonder it's bumper to ball or just living area.

I also wonder if the manufacturer advertised height includes the AC units on the roof.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

tjmezzan.
I have to think that 34'9" would Be ball to spare tire. When you look up the specs picture of the models, I think they usually have the dimension outlined perhaps? Not sure about the height including the air conditioner. We've had our travel trailer two years now and the box was definitely not the same size as the model number. That was inclusive from Ball to spare tire.
