Smile Trial Run

i am really stoked. !!!Tomorrow we take our new Forest River Rockwood 8299BS out for its maiden voyage . It will be a short trip but full of new to us trials. It will be a 4 day trek to a local lake park. I will see how all of the installed items function for the first time and install my new Rokland alpa wifi long range kit. I plan to mount it using the ladder as well as my scanner and ship to shore radio /two way radio. I have installed the PI HW50C management system and TPMS for the maypops. I will follow up on these installs later but right now i want to test the waters and see if there are any factory installed issues if you know what I mean. First thing is to go to the local CAT scale and get a weight. Then to the lake and go fishing yahoooo!

Maiden voyages, they are great! We are like little kids let loose in a candy store with the initial trip out. So much excitement ( really stoked ), and much to explore and learn. We too are awaiting our maiden voyage on our new TT. Getting pretty antsy here as well. In the meantime we have been putting those final touches on it getting it ready.

Congrats on your new Rockwood 8299BS. Now to get out and have a wonderful time. Enjoy!

When you run out of things to do, it's time for a new trailer

The important thing about a maiden voyage: if something doesn't quite work right or you make a little error setting something up, it isn't the end of the world. Enjoy the camping trip and regroup to fix the issue when you return. Camping with minor issues is still fun.
