TS2910 Frameless EXIT Window Will Not Open??

I have the emerald package on my Rockwood 2910TS and I cannot open the back exit window. It has the lever arm so it can be opened. i appllied some force to the rod, but the window would not swing open. My concern is my children use that room for sleeping and video games, and if they need to escape the window will not open. I don't want to break the window. It's still on warranty.

The windows on my Windjammer were stuck shut. During the pdi I had the dealer open them they forced them open. Once we got it home they were stuck again I used a plastic knife between the window and seal then when opened put baby powder on the seal they open easy now

Nearly lost mine.

Fixed it with slide seal lubricant when it stuck just as posted and still recommend it.

Must have bumped the handle getting up and wind blast from driving vibrated the handle enough to free it.

A passing motorist got my attention about a minute before it ripped itself off the camper. Damage was limited to a bent hinge, 4 popped pop rivets (2 on each end), and a ruined day/night shade.

Was able to unscrew the camper side of the hinge to get the tempered glass part down and, using an alligator jaw vise grip to bend and hold the frame to the hinge, pop rivet the broken ones.

The shade is a bit expensive and will look at what FR wants for one at the Rally.

The handle was drilled and a "keeper" now pins it closed for travel. It will be removed in camp.

I have a photo, but no time right now to get it out of the camera. Will clean up the post and stick in the photos this afternoon.

I was pushing the EXIT stick from the inside of the trailer, but the window would not open. So, do I need to go outside of the trailer and pull the window away from the seal. My fear is that the window will break before the seal breaks!!

Use a plastic cake spatula from the inside all around the seal and it should pop open.

Herk,

Thanks for the tip about using the plastic spatula to break the seal on the Rockwood TS2910 back window. My wife actually did the repair while I was out attending to other manners. She said it was real easy.

LOL! That is indeed old school, using baby powder. I do the same because, in this application, nothing is as neat, cheap or effective. Smells good, too.
