You can see that after he clicked Submit, the "e" moved off of the word "type" and onto the word "ton". My computer often does that.

Agree with all posted comments, however a couple of others are worthy of mention.
My DW has undergone double knee replacement, we were concerned with steps inside the fiver. With a topper on the pu, we have a place to haul her scooter. Looking at a small golf cart called a Cricket that would ride in the bed of the pu without any problems.
I switched to a Blue Ox system a couple of years ago, very little sway on interstates with the TT.

Your question answers itself; they're not unsafe.
I bought a TT mainly because I already owned a Tundra 4x4 to pull our pop up into the boondocks for primitive camping. I use the TV as my daily driver and didn't want to get a larger, more expensive truck to go touring.
I tow with an Equal-i-zer hitch and have zero towing issues.

Tired teacher, ok TT ARE safe as properly set with a WDH and from all the responses I'm now more comfortable purchasing a TT. In fact you have the identical TT I'm looking at but it's not a pop up (2604ws) as listed in your personal info unless you have changed TT.

Other issues to consider:

1. Backing a 5th Wheel is different than a TT or Motorhome

2. Hitching is very different AND the types of hitches for both TT and 5th wheels that are available vary. Example: If the 5th Wheel is not hitched right, it will fall off in the bed on your TV.

3. Turning is very different. Example: Look at the back of a TV that has damage to the window and cab.

Every issue that that has been discussed is good, I thought I would add these because they've not been mentioned. They're issues owners of 5th wheels take for granted and already have knowledge or experience with.

I've owned a pop-up, TT and 5th wheel. All are very different.
