Thanks for the info it just gets to me when I don't know what these things are for, I assumed as it was coming from the amp and by the back of the tv it would have a signal, I will tie it back and try to forget it. But won't !
I'm not suggesting you forget about it but without detailed photos or a hand drawing of your wiring showing where every wire connects and goes, we are all just guessing.
Typically there is only one coax goes to the back of the TV.
It usually comes from the wall plate/amplifier.
That wall plate/amplifier also has a splitter built into it.
The roof antenna coax goes into it, as does the coax coming from the outside 'cable TV' port. A wire then goes from the wall plate/amplifier to your TV.
When the amplifier is on (button pushed/green light) it supplies a roof antenna signal to your TV. When the amplifier is off, it supplies a cable signal to your TV. (provided you've hooked something to the outside port)
SOMETIMES... there is another coax coming off the wall plate/amplifier that feeds the same signals I described above to other parts of your camper. (typically bedroom but not always)
