Smile underbelly 8318ss

I have a 2005 rockwood 8318 and I have to get to the Black and grey water tanks. There is a cover enclosing the underside of the trailer, I went to a local RV dealer to get some info, and they told me don't worry just cut it out like they do it will be fine, needless to say I walked away quickly because this advice just did not sound right. Is there a proper way to remove this cover so I can get to the tanks. Thank you George

I think you just have to remove the self tapping screws and it should drop off.....anyway that is the way mine is.

The underbelly cover on my sierra is also held in place with self-tapping screws. But be careful putting it back up. Be sure not to use the same holes as the screws will not hold and you may loose the cover while going down the road. This happened to me last year after the dealer removed the cover to do some work on the underneath portion of my camper. Not a nice feeling setting on the side of I-40 in Texas with the plastic underbelly cover laying on the ground. I also had two flat tires caused by the screws during the trip and had to replace one of the tires.
