VIN Meanings

Can anyone tell me if trailer VIN's are configured in the same way that Auto's are configured. The reason I ask is I just received my full VIN from RVW and I ordered an 8314SS and the start of the VIN is 4X4. If this is the wrong one then I want to start to question things now and not wait till I am there to pick it up. Thanks for the help.

I have an 2008 21FB Flagstaff and my VIN# starts with 4x4.

I guess I should have done more researching before I posted a question. Of course I googled it and found an answer. Basically it says 4X4 means it was made in the U.S. If I am totally off someone please let me know.

I believe 4x4 stands for tamdem axles = 4 wheels, someone correct me if I am wrong please.

How long after you ordered did you get VIN information from RVW?

I placed the order on Dec 17 and got the full VIN on Jan 31. Also what did you do in the AF?
