I urge all to take a minute to crawl under their trailer and look for the following items.
Backing plate strain relief straps not attached. This is a plastic loop that helps prevent chafing at backing plate. All of mine were not attached from the factory. Just wrap the end around the wire and push it in the hole.
Chaffing from contact with the suspension or axle. I notice the sloppy placement of the wires had them rubbing on the components. I restrained and protected them with zip ties and spiral wrap.
Tight wires. You need slack to allow for wheel and axle movement. My wires were stretched tight from the box to the wheels. They used silicone to seal the exit hole which binds the wires. I pulled on them (gently) to get more slack and resealed the holes.

If you don't check for these problems you could experience brake failure due to broken or shorted wires. The factory really screwed mine (2013) up. Dealers don't check (or care).

Please let me know what you find.

On one of my brakes there was to much wire pushed back inside of drum and was rubbing on the inside if drum. Did not know I had a problem till I got a prodigy p3 and my brakes were cutting out. It was a simple fix but I had to take drum off to do it. But my wires were a little sloppy also. I cleaned it up and tied mine up better also.
