Watch your toes!

It's took our new 2702SS Ultra light out and when setting up camp, my wife opened the refrigerator door and the raised solid wood panel came crashing down. She pulled her foot back just in time to have this heavy panel

Sorry, sent before I finished. Anyways, the small plastic bracket that holds the wood raised refrigerator panel just clips on, not providing much stability. In any event, my wife barely escaped having her toes crushed when she open the door and it plummeted to the ground. Curious if anyone else has had this problem and if either you or the dealer had a better way to reinforce this beyond the small plastic trim piece that just clips on. Given the weight of the wood panel, it's pretty flimsy.

Glad to hear your wife was able to move quickly. There's been a few posts on this subject. I don't understand it as my fridge panel is heavily glued in place.

I have the Flagstaff 27BESS which is the twin to your trailer. My panels are also held on my clips or plastic channels that go around the edges of the panels but they seem quite secure although the panels do move around under the clips a little bit. I'll have to watch out for this in the future.

On our trailer, a 2013 Cruise-lite 181bhxl, we have a shelf space above our refrigerator. I wonder if that could have been implemented on all their models.

Can that area be modified to a shelf on your unit?

The dealer may be able to "fix" it, but that is one of those things that I would probably do myself. Do it better and more secure, and then I know it's done right. I "fixed" many small issues like that on my first trailer (trim accents, light fixtures, etc.), and a couple on my current 5th wheel. Just the way I would handle it.
