Exclamation Water Filter location?

So we just bought a 2011 Windjammer 3006W. I am going to flush the water system before our first use, but I can't figure out where in the world the water filter is located. If I understand the directions correctly, I should remove the water filter before flushing the system with bleach.

Got a 2011 Heritage Glenn by wildwood. When I called Forest River on another concern I asked this very question as i could not find mine either.. turns out 2009 was the last year they put them on, due to numerous complaints about access and cost of filters.... so the $20 inline filter from Wallyworld is what i had to get

Maybe Rockwood discontinued as well?

We have a 2011 V-Lite and the filter is with the pump. In ours it is under the entertainment center. I would turn your water on and listen for the pump and once you locate it you will probably find the filter. Just make sure you open a tap or with the pump off to relieve any pressure in the system or the filter housing will be a bear to get off.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to pick it back up from storage tomorrow, so I'll take a look. I do remember a small door under the entertainment center that was hinged on both sides. Hopefully I'll find it there.

If you just picked it up at the dealer the filter element should be in a drawer, still in a sealed wrapper! When they ship from Elkhart they either (AIR) or (RV anti-freeze) the water,no filter element installed. I think you will find the door with hinges on both sides containes the speaker box! F/R seems to put the water filters where they are (VERY) hard to get too! I put a big see thru filter on the outside of the trailer. Youroo!!

They hide those things in all kinds of wierd locations. If you can't see it inside one of the outside access storage compartments then it is most likely behind one of the "fake" (hinges on both sides) doors inside the trailer. It will be a compartment right at floor level. On our 2010 8315BSS the water pump and filter is behind a fake door under a storage unit in the bathroom. Good Luck !!

Smile Found it

Thanks for the feedback. I find it underneath a storage compartment between the back bedroom and our sitting area. Our first trip was a success, so we're off to a good start.
