I am looking at a very early Forest River 21RB Flagstaff. The trailer was made in 1998. The unit appears to be in excellent condition. It was stored indoors until two years ago.

Your thoughts and concerns please. Price is 5000.

Seems like a way to jump in and try an RV without a huge cash layout.

It may also depend on where you wish to use it. Some RV parks and resorts have limitations on the age of the RV. To keep the trailer park trash out. Not trying to insult it as it may be a fine looking trailer since it was kept inside. Check all corners of the trailer inside cupboards etc for evidence of water leaks. Spongy paneling in the back bottom corners etc. If its fiberglass on the exterior line your eyeball up to look along the bottom of the sides and back. Your are looking for any swellings in the walls as evidence of water leaks. We have a 1 year old trailer now but we started out with some mighty fine older units that we have had great fun and great memories.

Are "Draw Tite" Hitches any good? The Units dry weight is only 2900 lbs. The owner is including a Draw Tite with sale. I can not lift some of the massisve equalizer hitches.

The owner says the tongue weight is only a couple of hundred pounds. An early trailer like this has none of little yellow sticker we know and love.
