Weight With New rockwood 2906WS

Followed Rons weight guide posted a couple of years ago. Got 3 weights, truck alone, trailer hooked up with w/d bars hooked, trailer hooked up bars off. These are the weights. the trailer weights are 8100#, tongue weight is 1050#, load transferred with w/d bars amounts to 20#. The 1500 Dodge Ram goes down about 1 1/2 inch. I had the Firestone airbags with 10lbs of air.

w/d bars amounts to 20# ? Think your wdh is not doing its job..
Do you have your axle weights for the truck with and w/o bars?

Why not post your weights so we can see what you are talking about. Maybe you mean the front axle weight was all restored except for 20 lbs?

Truck-- steer axle is 3360, drive axle is 2580. Total 5940 plus 2 people 6050 lb
Truck and trailer, st bars connected. Steer axle is 2960, drive axle is 4100, trailer is 7000 Total 14060

Truck and trailer without wt bars connected. Steer axle is 2860. Drive axle is 4260. Trailer axle 6980. TotL is 14100

Talked to equalizer in salt lake about hitch. Said it was not set up right. Should be a lot more than 20 lbs. last place that set up took out Ll but 3 washers, now you can put on equalizer bars very easy. Equalizer says should have at least 5 washers to tilt hitch. Have appointment on the 20th at certified equalizer hitch shop, shall see.

You got approx160 lbs off your rear axle, hard to tell exactly with the 20 lb scale tolerances. 5 washers should work a whole lot better.

What concerns me is your 400 lbs. light on the front. Adjustment is needed of the wdh for-sure! When I was towing with my old 1/2 ton I ran 25 psi in the airbags, 10 psi seems low.

Be sure to post back how it goes after adjustment.
