Well, we did it!

We put a deposit on a 2010 Rockwood Signature Ultra Lite 8317RKSS. We still got the show price, and he *said* he threw in the hitch and weight distro kit at no cost, altho i think we're paying a lot in prep and freight.

Anyway, i'm excited about a real grown up camper! We should get it next weekend, i think.

And now fingers crossed that we can sell the Roo soon!!!

Congrats. My wife and I ordered one back in the middle of Feb. Looking to have to go pick it up in the end of April, hopefully. We loved the outdoor kitchen, large awning and quality. What interior did you go with? We went with oak and espresso. This is our first trailer. What were the things that made you decide to go with the 8317rkss, just curious. Enjoy your new trailer.

Freight to the East Coast should be roughly $800-$1000 depending on who hauled it.

Prep could by close to another $350-$500.

Greenshield, we got ours at Chesaco which is the same company as Triangle, just up in Joppa. He offered the break controller, too, but we already have one in the truck. Must have been the deal to offer, lol.

Rigger, ours is also oak and espresso. i really like the dark upholstery altho i would have preferred either the cherry or the tuscan. Oh well, not that important. We fell in love with the outdoor kitchen - we didn't even think that was something we wanted! We also (well, mostly my husband) really liked the power tongue and stab jacks, and power awning. One of the main goals in getting this was shorter set up time. And then hopefully a rig we won't grow out of any time soon. (kids are 5 and 7)

Our first trip is in 3 weeks - can't wait!

PattiPatti, that's why we went with it too, so we wouldn't out grow it. My wife doesn't like to trade in things very often. Great for me as her husband, lol. We looked at the cherry but they felt too dark for us. Very sophisticated looking but with kids not what we wanted. We can't wait until we can pick it up and start the camping season.!!

WOW....very popular model....we get our 8317RKS April 3rd....can't wait....we went with the espresso with Cherry. Loved the colors.

I am also looking forward to the electric tongue and stabilizer jacks.

The outdoor kitchen is very popular with all the manufacturer's at the show's this year and was the decision maker for us

Have you sold your Roo yet? I had really good luck selling my pop-up on Ebay, buyer bought it and drove 800 miles to pick it up only 3 days after the bid closed, cashier check in hand.

No luck selling the Roo yet. One guy came to look at it, but his wife didn't seem too interested and then he was surprised at the weight... i listed it in the ad, so not sure why that was a shock. (he had some luxury SUV to tow, was looking to upgrade from a pop up) Anyway, i'm still hopeful!

Couldn't get the new one this weekend - they were booked. So it comes home on Friday! Not sure what i'm going to do with 2 campers and a truck in the side drive, tho... eek!

Did you post it on www.Craigslist.org, It's free? I put my 1997 Suburban on there and sold it with in a week and I just sold my pool table in two weeks, the gentlmen that bought it pick it up last weekend, he came all the way from Germantown Md. I am getting ready to advertize the over head light for the pool table....Your Roo will sell, and by the way congrats on you new camper.

It's on craigslist (has been for a month) and also listed at work. I think i'm going to try to the local ebay, too - apparently that way they don't charge fees? Not sure, have to look into it.

Greenshield, i don't think the dry weight includes things like the awning and and propane tanks, some other things I've read mentioned. We're nearly neighbors, BTW - i'm on Kent Island.
