What are those straps for?

We have a 2010 Windjammer 3001W and at the rear there are two swivel rocking chairs. No one showed us how to secure these during travel. Our trip home with the TT was a short one and we just jammed the chairs together.

We're leaving this weekend for our first trip and will be climbing some steep winding mountain roads. I do not want these things tumbling about.

Under the couch there are some straps that are just hanging about. Could these be intended for using on those chairs? If someone has a good suggestion, I'm open...

On my 5th wheel the dealer indicated that was what the straps are for, securing the swivel chairs. But be advised, my chairs ride amidships, directly across from the couch. The kitchen is in the rear of the trailer.

On my 2604, we turn the swivel chairs upside down and side by side on the couch. One strap comes from each corner of the couch, crossing a portion of the chair bottom. There is then a metal clip in the floor at the center of the couch that holds all in place.

As we loaded up this morning to return home from a 5 day trip, I tighten the straps a bit too tight and one of the plastic latches snapped.

I don't use them, I set the chairs so that they have very little movement and as far as the stools go I lay them down on the floor. No problems as of yet.....
