I think the most pleasure comes early in the morning when all is still; just sitting outside with my feet up with the smell of pine in the cool air, listening to chipmunks chattering, and a fresh cup of coffee in hand.

1) getting away from it all (and I do mean all)

2) sipping whiskey outside, preferably Maker's Mark!

Apparently my hubby likes that too!!!!!

Although here we call that Bourbon.
(Canadian whiskey is made of Rye, and American whiskey is made of Corn.
= Bourbon to us)

Bushmills for me.

That's the ticket as far as whiskeys go. Nothing better once the kiddies are in bed and we finally get to sit down and relax around the campfire.

Sigh ...

Fresh mountain air
Pine trees
Campfires and the smell of campfire smoke
Really strong coffee brewed in the percolator over the coleman stove or campfire outside and a few shots of Bailey's mixed in....
NO WORK
NO Phones
NO TV

We consider ours our "getaway" home. We do not have any distractions when we camp. We have a group that camp with, and they make it great to go also. But, to sum it up, it's friends, food, fires, walking, sunrise, sunset's, coffee in the morning, and of course beer to relax during the day.

Getting away from home after 5 days of work/Being outdoors/cooking the meals outside/coffee in the early morning by a campfire/I guess you could say everything. Can't wait to retire and make camping a fulltime job

I like the fact that it is my time. My company takes advantage of me 5 days a week and makes me feel guilty for not working weekends.it is the only place where NO ONE can get a hold of me when I spend time with my wife and kids.
