What Do You Tow A Mini Lite With?
I have a 2609S weighing around 5200# empty and it has a tongue weight (with WDH) of 800#. I just sold my Toyota Sequoia because although it has the towing capacity, the payload capacity (cargo capacity) is only 1230#. Combined weight of my wife & me is 350#. 800+350=1150. That left us with 80# of additional weight/passengers before being overloaded.
Time for an F150 3.5 Ecoboost? I noticed that the cargo capacity on these can range from 1300 - 1450+.
What do you use?

Those numbers would be on the low end of payload, for a 3.5 EcoBoost. Where did you get that number range?
My 2014 3.5 EcoBoost 4x4 with Max Tow package, has 1828lbs of payload capacity.
I would never buy a F150 that had less than 1600lbs of payload capacity.

I am looking for a "pre-owned" F150 and the ones with Max Tow Package are few and far between. I got the numbers from the payload stickers on F150's without the max tow pkg (1393#; 1441#; 1404#)

Are these higher bling trim level Super Crew F150s? Like Platinum or Lariat or King Ranch?
They will have lower payloads than lower trim levels, like XLT.
All that fancy stuff, like heated seats and sunroofs, adds weight.
Here in Washington, I had no problems finding ones with the Max Tow package. What was impossible, was finding any with the Heavy Duty Payload package.
If I was going to get a F150 for towing, I wouldn't get one with at least the Max Tow package.
My 2014 XLT has a Rear GAWR of 4050lbs.

This is way too much tow vehicle for your RV. You need to either upsize your RV or downsize your tow vehicle.
You are putting people’s lives at risk!

These F150's are all XLT! None have the added bling of a Lariat or Limited, etc.

Look for old fleet vehicle F150s. The one I got was a former oil field inspection vehicle in Louisiana. For it for a great price. They are often factory, Ford fleet or dealer modified to haul more.
Big thing to note on these though is that the info you get from the online VIN checkers for stats may not be write. My VIN comes back with the wrong engine size and missing the tow package.

My 2017 F-150 SuperCrew 3.5 EcoBoost has a CCC of 1712 pounds.

I had a 2014 F-150 Lariat 3.5 eco-boost towing a 2018 Rockwood 2504s mini-lite. No problems on the flats or gentle grades but every time through the long grades in major mountain ranges it would over heat. Now pull with a F-350 Lariat= no worries.

dufferray, I'm sure Bruce was kidding - from a safety standpoint there can hardly be too much tow vehicle....but that F350 can pull a house, so it would barely know the micro lite was behind it. As for the light duty trucks, the op could easily run out of payload capacity without the proper due diligence, making this a worthwhile exercise.

Pre-owned Silverado
We towed our 21FBRS with a Sierra 1500 until a trip up I-25 through Wyoming. Upon returning, we found a 10-year old Silverado 2500HD with a CCW of 3300LBs. Have taken several long trips since purchase and it is a night and day difference. The 1500 was right at the edge of capacity and I could feel it every time the wind blew.

I'm new to all this and I did not think you're supposed to include people body weight into the cargo weight because people will be passengers in the TV and not in the trailer which has weight limits. Does this question make sense? If so, correct me if I'm wrong.

Driver and passengers weights subtract from the tow vehicle's cargo capacity, which is called Payload Capacity. Any vehicle cargo and hitch weight also subtracts from the Payload Capacity.
Your tow vehicle has weight limits, just like the trailer.
Tow vehicle payload capacity and its GVWR are very important, ESPECIALLY Payload Capacity.

I have that trailer and a 2018 F150 3.5 Max Tow Crew. Never have had an issue of any kind. Previous truck was a 2015 F150 3.5 Super Cab with intermediate tow. Never had an issue with that one either Ohio to Texas and back several times, through the Ozarks around Branson, through Pennsylvania and upstate NY. When I bought the trailer I had a 2010 F-150 with the base 6 and no factory tow. Never had a problem there either, but I decided to upgrade the truck when we started running to Texas and back to get out of the snow.

The OP is shopping for an F150, but here goes. I tow a 2504s that weighs 4,678 dry weight. On the Cat scale, ready to camp, I have 5,500 on the axles. I weighed the tounge myself at 660 pounds. My tv is a 2014 Silverado 1500,double cab, 2wd, 262 cubic inch V6. Payload is 1853 pounds. As for a WDH, I don’t use one. Jay
