I'm in Hartford, CT this week.
36 deg F and snowing this morning. BUT: Calling for 73 deg F on Saturday!

You're right down the street from us. It's been a lousy spring so far in CT. First trip this weekend. Hope they're right about that forecast.

UW-Madison PD arrested Mother Nature yesterday on kidnapping charges. Charges will be dropped if she releases Spring without harm.
In other Breaking News; Sun Prairie, Wisconsin - Jimmy The Groundhog is in protective custody after falsely predicting the end of winter.

As soon as I finish digging out from the latest 15+ inches of snow we just got in MN this weekend, I'm hunting that stupid groundhog down myself! We could use some old fashioned global warming here. We have a brand new Rockwood 2509s sitting under a mound of snow at the dealership, but wont be using it any time soon.

No, was on WMTV (Ch15 Madison) news this morning. The mother nature one was tweeted by someone on the UW-Madison PD. Jimmy the Groundhog is an actual groundhog in Sun Prairie, WI they bring out every Feb 2nd. Last year he bit the mayor on the ear  . WMTV reported both on the early news.

Yeah, there's always a big debate when Jimmy and Punxsutawney Phil say different things.

rockfordroo, I don't know that much about Jimmy, just that he's a big thing around Madison/Sun Prairie every Feb 2nd. The funny thing many people don't realize is from Feb 2nd to first day of calendar spring is 6 weeks. Sometimes give or take 2 or 3 days.

From the celebrity gossip page of the local paper. "Mother Nature's daughters, Spring and Summer head to the Bahamas for mid-April vacation."
The weather person on local news said 2 to 5 inches of snow this afternoon into tomorrow. Right now there is 7 inches of new snow on the ground.
