Which counter top will come with trailer?

Silly question I know but I can't seem to find a rhyme or reason for why the same model with same trim and options other than color or wood would cause the change in counter tops? I am only concerned since I want the get the darker one with rounded edges. They both are corian and are in the diamond package on a Rockwood signature (8329ss). Could it be old 2015 stock? Tied to interior color / wood choice?

Most Likely they changed it for that year model. One is probably what was used in the 15 models and the other is in the new 16 models.

My 2016 Windjammer with the Diamond Package came with the darker Corian with rounded edges. There was a 2015 Windjammer on the lot that had the more squared edges and lighter color.

The 8329SS is basically the same trailer as my Rockwood Windjammer 3029W.

We have a 2016 windjammer. When we were buying, we were going to order one because we wanted the dinette instead of table and chairs to add additional sleeping spaces instead of the model they had at the dealership. Found out after we ordered they changed all the decor for new models which included the white counter tops instead of the speckled grayish color. They also removed the option for the cherry wood cabinets and wood trim. We ended up buying the 2016 model with the table and chairs they had in stock because we didn't like the new decor packages. If you want the other decor packages, look online to see if you can find a dealer that has the old decor package in stock. They are still 2016 models but the color schemes are much richer looking. The new schemes seem to make the inside look less expensive.

This is very interesting. Our Windjammer is a 2016 and we have both the cherry cabinetry and the darker, round edged countertops. The 2015 Windjammer on the lot beside the one we bought had the oak looking cabinetry and the lighter, squared edge countertops. I'm glad we got the one we did because, as you pointed out, the dark cherry cabinetry is no longer an option. It's strange how things can be so different at the beginning of a model-year.

All of the FR brochures contain a disclaimer that "specifications are subject to change at any time". If you definitely want a specific feature, I suggest you make it clear to the dealer and add it to the contract ( in writing). This will at least improve your chances of getting what you want or rejecting something you do not want.

Yeah you are right there. Makes it a little harder to be sure we will like an ordered trailer. We may have to deal with a lot trailer and add on. I am noticing many other things that are changing already as well that could be deal breakers, such as the full length windows in the table slide should be standard on the diamond package but seem to Not be on some of the lot models now. :/

We almost backed out of the deal and didn't buy it because of the decor change. We really wanted the extra sleeping space but color was more important to us so we bought that model. All our kids are grown anyway so really the extra sleep space came in second. We're very bait with what we have though and wouldn't trade it. Also sleeping bags or a blow up bed can probably be accommodated.

We were told that they change the options mid year so you can order same year model and many of the specs may be different. We wound up buying one off lot because we did not want to chance some of the changes - one being the white counter tops.

This is my 2015. I got to imagine that buying power plays the biggest part. If 500 of this style is cheaper than 500 of that style but the material their choice is obvious.

It's really odd that they did change because I think they ruined a good thing

As weird as it sounds, this isn't the only thing that is different and now me and the wife are considering not ordering one..... maybe taking a lot trailer and adding the features we were going to order. This way we can control what we get. Best I can do I guess.

You never know exactly what you'll get unless you buy off the lot and have actually seen it. When we were looking at 2503S's, we saw some with no "side tables" next to the sofa's, like in the first pic below (a Flagstaff), and some with side tables, like the one we got. (I added the outlet to match the one on the other side.)

At first we thought the tables might be a Flagstaff/Micro Lite difference, but we saw both models with and without. You'll notice the sofa's are a bit different, too.

We preferred the tables, but it wasn't a deal breaker.
