Who's not Happy with their Windjammer?
I have yet to hear of an unhappy Windjammer owner. Surely, there must be some out there. If you have a Windjammer and you are not happy with it, please post here and tell of your problems.
I am thrilled with the performance of my Windjammer 3029W and have nothing negative to report. How about you? What could Forest River have done better with your Windjammer? Mine is flawless. How is yours?
They must have a special "A Team" working on the Windjammers. What say You?

The trailer fit and finish is great, love the layout on my 3065w.Tows fantastic. The only issue I have is the stupid radio and surround sound probably user error but mine is NOT user friendly. Other than that its great.

I just ordered mine, wind jammer 3008w noted several small problems in this column curious could you please list minor problems? I ordered mine out of state so would like to identify small problems so I can identify and get them fixed before the Long ride home.

Be sure wind deflector has been installed on refrigerator; if not wind will hinder it's operation on gas when going down the road.

What does this (Wind deflector) look like and where is it installed? Not all W/J and V-Lite refrigerators are in the same Location, ours is a F/K the Refer is located just after the V on the driver side wall! Never has NOT worked going down the road, and has never had a (Recall) for a deflector, your unit is Newer than ours so it is either a (Model) issue or a (Year) issue? Our unit has the Dometic Refer! Youroo!!

My understanding is that some units with refer located just behind the 'V' came without deflector (our friend's was this way) & it is a no cost to you repair.

Our V-Lite has the refrig midway driver side never an issue. Windjammers and V-Lites travel down the same assembly line guess that's why we all have less issues. Also they are built in Millersburg, IN and one of the original plants that have plenty of experience, do to generations of family working there. Later RJD

So you were talking about someone else unit, not yours? I am still trying to see a Pic of this (Wind Deflector) that Is/Was Installed! It must be installed by F/R in SOME units because Dometic cant tell what units F/R is going to use these (Special Installed Baffle Refers)in? Youroo!!

Do you think this is what makes the difference in quality and customer satisfaction greater with the Windjammers? Are any other travel trailers made there? If so, it would be interesting to find out how well they are put together.

youroo
There was another thread sometime back that addressed this issue. When I saw it I relayed info to my friend that had just purchased a unit with refer just behind 'V', & before he took delivery the dealer installed deflector. They said the factory is supposed to install this, buy occasionally it is overlooked. Very quick & easy install.

While on this Happy Post,I have also Ask and no one ever Posted Pics of the (Moved Axles 8"Back) after they (F/R) replaced the Side Walls on the Windjammer/V-Lite units that Cracked above the Slides! If they moved the Axles back 8" and Replaced the 1 Side the Wheel Flare Opening would Have to Look VERY ODD on at least 1 side? And there were MANY that went back to the Factory for Side Replacement! Youroo!! Show us how they can Move the axles/wheels back 8" and still look correct in the opening?

We bought our '15 2809W in April '14. Took it on a couple weekend trips before it got broken into and caused a lot of damage. That ended our camping season. This year, we've put about 2K miles on it and loving! Added flag pole, bedroom TV, outdoor mounting for TV, LED lights in pantry and above stove. More to come.
Happy Camping!
