WiFi Extender Sky4 not working
I have not had any luck getting this WiFi Extender turned on since taking delivery of my new 2020 Geo Pro. I have turned it on waited 3-5 minutes on 2 occasions before searching for wifi on iPhone. There is no address similar to what is on sticker inside trailer. I even took switch off wall to see if it was connected, it was but not sure if it has power.
They really didn't seem interested at PDI to demonstrate operation.
I did print off instructions but the first step is to get unit to show up on wifi search, which it hasn't.
Any way to see if it is getting power?

It may have an LED light on it. The sky3 does. Not sure about the sky4

Just turned it on and looked at unit on roof. Clear plastic but no light to be seen on a cloudy day.

I am having the same problem with my WifiRanger Sky 4. I did the reset six times no luck. There are no lights or indicators on this sky 4. I have contacted my dealership and the maker, no real effort on their part to help. I will call Forest River next to see if I get some help. I will keep you abreast of the process.

Mine has a blue light which is very visible at night, even from the ground.

No light on my sky4. But it works fine. Upgraded the firmware yesterday

The light is just an indicator. Would not be surprised if covered by something in unit or just not working because of led being out/not soldered.

I have the Sky4 and the unit on the roof glows brightly blue at night when powered on. During any daylight, cloudy, sunny, whatever, the light is not visible.

We had a issue with our sky 4 unit as well on our 2511s ,worked fine once, then went belly up. Unit would not connect and couldn't fine the address. Dealer sent me a new unit that I replaced now all is good.I just changed all the boards and top so not to affect the seal.

Sky4 setup
I had a heck of a time resetting my Sky4 so that I could login. The instruction on the internet must be followed exactly. If it says wait 3 minutes I had to use a stop watch app on my cell phone to cut it off and back on. I did this the number of time in the instructions and it finally worked. Each time you change RV sites you need to log on to that areas WIFI. It works for me but the dealer was no help at all. When I called them they said just turn on the switch and it should work. What a joke. Good luck.

Wifi extender now works!
My Geo Pro 19FD has a speaker below wifi switch which I took out and put a flashlight in hole. I also took wifi switch out. I then see another wire hanging and feed it through switch hole. I connected it to the other tab on switch, which was tight to get on.
It was never connected at build. Turn unit on and away it went. All good.
I guess I thought it was connected before posting, as not sure if one wire was enough.
Another example of dealer not checking these extras that are put on the trailers these days. I will not likely ever use it but would like it to work as I paid for it.
