Windjammer 2015 3006WK Bunk House Door Problem

Folks,

One of our boys was certain he had the correct key to open the bunk house door, but he did not. He chose to force the key in the key slot. I barely was able to remove it. Now the key latch does not work, nor will it open from the inside. Also, it appears the window bracket has deformed (melted) and the window has now slipped down.

Any suggestions on how to fix any/both are greatly appreciated!

I just did this last week at the beach. Have to buy a new latch. About 40 is what I paid. From the inside you can take out the four screws and then you can operate the latch or the deadbolt. Get the door open and then you can take the two screws out of the edge of the door. Easy to do.

When you do it, order a latch that uses the same key as your entry door. Then you'll only need one key.

They fixed that on our 2017 3006WK.

There is no door.... I wish there was!

Thanks Gents! I removed lock/deadbolt so for now the door opens and closes but does not lock. Good enough for now. Will order a new latch.
