Windjammer 2809W

Anybody have this model TT? Found a 2014 (new) at a very good price & traded 2015 Flagstaff 21FBRS for it. Like the floor plan very much; gives you plenty of room. Someone said that you never buy your last RV; I guess I just proved that, although I THINK this our last one; only time will tell, but that is what I thought on the last one.
Again, thanks for any info, it is appreciated.

Papa, you did step up in floor space didn't you? I have a 2014 WJ 3001w which is similar it that it has the two slides outs. We have had it just over a year and love it, pulled it about 1800 miles in 2014 and leaving on a 5000 mile trip in 2 weeks in it. The ONLY thing I would tell you is with two 39" slides on one side of the unit, you will need to set up originally about 1" to 1-1/2" high on that side. The TT will squat because of the extra extended weight on that side, but you will be level by the next day. The WJ all tow very nicely from what I have read and with the torsion bar axles, it probably rides better inside than my TV does. I would check to make sure it still doesn't have the crappy tires that came on it; if so pick up some Goodyear Marathons or Maxxis tires in Load D size for your own peace of mind.
Happy camping!

We sure did. Really liked our Micro Lite, but like the idea of more room. Found a deal we couldn't pass up.
Finding out that there is no known cure for the RV bug. Hopefully I'm cured this time. Only time will tell.

RV bug cure? Uh, no, no known cure. Remember: Misery loves company. And you can find a LOT of fellow sufferers at the campground! But you have to be willing to BE cured also! I am not, thank you. One other thing I recently did was to replace the stock analog HVAC thermostat on the main 13.5K unit with a digital. The analog had a temperature swing of 4 degrees - each way. So, if set at 76, it would get to 80 before kicking the AC on and not shut down until it was at 72! Brrr... The digital has a 1 degree swing and was easy to do. Now it plays nicer with the other digital thermostat on the 15K front unit.
Upgrades to the RV may be a bug in and of itself as well!

It is an epidemic isn't it. I'm not taking any medication for it either.

Does anyone have a WJ 2809W, 2618W, or other model WJ with the 2 slides on left side? Would like to know how far the slides run out when fully extended.
Thanks

Papa, I believe all the WJ models that have two slides on the left side extend the same amount. In that case the 2809w, the 2618w, and my 3001w extend out 39". Quite a way out, which you have to account for when parking so you don't hit the shore power or utilities on that side. It accounts for the tendency for them to lean to that side when extended. From what I have seen the standard distance is about 2' for other RV units.
