Windjammer 3008W to Windjammer 3025W

We are thinking of trading from 3008 to 3025. I can see there is not much closet space. We spend 4 -5 months in AL durung the winter. Who has one and do you like it???

We have a 3025W that we just got in March. We have stayed in it for about 40 days now and really love it. It is a little lacking in storage space but overall we have no complaints. We have had no problems what so ever and it seems to be well built. The bathroom is the biggest on the market and there is plenty of room everywhere. We looked at a lot of trailers in Florida and Michigan before deciding on this one and we are very happy with our choice. We traded a 31 ft Palomino Puma that we really liked but this Windjammer is so much bigger and nicer that there is no comparison. If you decide to make the trade I think you will be happy.

We start our adventure tomorrow in our 3025. We close on the house today, and start full-time. For going fulltime it is lacking storage. We plan on going for 2 years at least. We'll see how she stacks up in the months to come. We did make a mistake and looked at an Infinity 5th wheel. Now that thing has more storage than most houses, plus washer, dryer, walk in closets, king size bed, full size side by side reefer, auto levelers, its crazy.

We stay in ours most of the winter and half the summer and just cut back on our "Stuff". The rest of the floor plan is what sold us.There is a great pantry and plenty of storage in kitchen. The bathroom can't be beat. The quality and workman ship is way above average for FR. We have only had one issue with a thermostat probably because it is a Coleman rather than Dometic.
The only funky part is the fridge has a whiny fan in hot weather which is loud and annoying and can keep the fridge a little warm. I just put out awning to shade the slide and take off the upper service door to lower the temps in the housing.
We have unused storage space so it can be done!
It is also easy to convert to solar. We have 265 watts on roof and added two batteries by taking out front steps.
It tows like it is not there.
Best,
Jon

Thanks for the review. We pick our 3025 next week. I couldn't believe the "stuff" we had in our 30th008. We will sort it out when we pack the new one. Will like the extra living space. Excited!!!

Jammer 3025, Do you notice the new fan design in the fridge is pretty noisy? The serviceman at the dealership told us it would be noisier than our 3008 due to FR new design. We picked our 3025 up Wednesday and spent one night in it. One time I thought that fan was a siren outside. Now we are busy packing and modifying it.

^^^^ yes indeed it is noisy. It doesn't get that way when its cool out, just when it gets up to around 75-80°. I was going to install another fan before we went fulltime, but so many other things more importent came up. Its funny. The DW just opened the door, and asked me where that whine was comming from. Ha Ha. Should have replaced that fan.

I took the upper cover off a minute ago when the fan was whining, and the fan shut off. It gets more air that way, and the fan isnt needed. Its ugly, but "hey" it worked.

My husband encased our refrigerator fan with styrofoam insulation board today. Won't know how much it helps until the next night out and all is quiet. He is disappointed this trailer is not built as well as our 3008 Windjammer. The under belly was falling down, so he has been underneath securing it back. We are five hours from the dealer, plus he would rather do it himself and know it is done. We have also fixed several little things inside too. I have had to sort and take a lot of the inside "stuff"to our basement, due to less storage. But the extra living room area is great.

Safe travels. Where do you plan to winter?

We love this Windjammer, but we made a giant mistake just before we went fulltime, and walked through a beautiful Infinity 5th wheel. We are making our way towards South Dakota, where we are probably buy a big 5th wheel. We really liked the massive storage area, W/D, giant reefer, and on and on. We figure if were going to do this dull time thing wr might as well go big.

Probably going to winter over in Az, and San Diego for awhile.

Well we did it. I traded my beautiful Windjammer for a 2015 Montana 375 FLF Mountaineer today. We pick it up Friday. Waiting on the PDI, washer dryer order and install, and 5th wheel hitch for the PU to be installed.

We just needed way more room than the Windjammer offered. We got a great trade in price for it. Now we just have to wait3 more days to enjoy the new rig.
