What we have done in mid August with temps in the high 90's and 75% humidity:

Turn the AC as low as you can stand in the morning to get a head start on the day's heat.

Use an oscillating tower fan in the LR.

Slip a cut-to-fit piece of Reflectix between the day/night shade and the window panes of most or all of the (single pane) windows. Nothing to see outside anyways.

Keep movements to a minimum inside to not build up body heat.

If you cook, do it outside as much as possible.

I guess 1st of all, if you can, get a site with shade. As you see in the pic, our site had very little shade and we survived with 1 AC(15K BTU).

Timex, all good points! By the way, that campground looks very nice, do you mind sharing where it is?

Carrier, Turbs sent us a link to another thread where he discussed how he installed his, I think he sent it to us via a PM. I'm not good with electrical, or I'd attempt to explain it to you, my DH did our installation. I imagine if you do a search that thread will come up -- I think he posted it either towards the end of last summer or the year before.

He had a 5'r and installed his new, smaller electrical box in his basement. Since we don't have the basement option, we ran ours over to come down through our pantry, which is on the wall in the galley and the reverse of that same wall is in our bedroom. This worked out well as everything is concealed within and no loose wiring is running within sight.

Deb

I failed to mention; the Reflectix is held in place by clothes pins clipped to the shades. We just roll them up and store in a cabinet when not in use.

The rv park is Coastal Haven just east of Fairhope, AL. They were having problems with their website so I guess they took it down. Just look it up on rvpark reviews.

I'm pretty sure if you have only one AC its the 13,500 BTU. The 15,000 BTU is the second, optional AC for the 3025W. However, I think all of them are ready for a second AC install in the bedroom. In order to have the second AC it must have a 50 amp connection. The second AC will not run unless connected at 50 AMP.

If the area left or right of the install location is a closet or such, you can snake the wire overhead to that closet and down inside then either a flush mount external 20 amp plug on an outside wall or a male 20 amp cord end stubbed out the floor. I then used a 12 ga extension cord to the pedestal.
