Windjammer 3029W

Purchase of TT for two. Any suggestions. Really like the 2015 windjammer 3029W - dual opposing slides. We have a 2009 24 ft Fleetwood Wilderness to trade or sell. Questions, do we trade our used camper, will an F150 pull the 3029? When is the best time to buy, how do We locate the best dealer for us - we live in the Midwest. Thanks for the help.

We got a Windjammer 3029 last year, 2014, and absolutely love it. Plenty of room for our 2 dogs and recliners at night watching TV are great. The opposing slides give a great deal more room. The closet space in the nose of the TT, the dresser and underbed storage give ample storage space.

The 3029W has many nice features on it. The 2015 units have the new 7 cubic foot frig with blue LED lights.
Also there's exterior access storage under the bed- behind the electric fire place and under the dresser in the bedroom.
Pantry is a good size. If you order without the fireplace you get a large cabinet area for additional storage.
All the frameless windows crank out for great cross ventilation.
I know the brochure says this unit has a dry weight of 7263 but actual dry weights coming out are in the 7550# to 7700#. Add 1,000 more pounds for filed propane tanks, battery and all your stuff and food and you're just under 9,000# total. If your 1/2 ton truck is equipped with heavy duty towing you might be in the range.
Another unit we've looked over closely is the Rockwood 8310SS. Only 2 slides but a very open floor plan.
Happy trails,
