Did you look at the first link I provided in Post #2?

I did, and read it the first time you posted it. I don't have a dealer as I am a RVW customer in N.J. I do have a commercial trailer place that did my brake controllers, and traveled a distance to get my warranty work done, as there are no Forest River dealers near by. I might still ask around to see who would do it. I think I can drill holes, but not weld, so I probably would need an install.

I think the Jack it looks like a good product, and would solve my problem. The regular size model allows 22 1/2" around the jack, I have 22 3/4". I can't find the 18" version, probably have to call the manufacturer. My Curtiss clamp on rack interferes with hitching, the bike gets in the way of cranking. The Jack it would load the bikes up and out of the way, and by the wheels, solving my women's bike problem. The 1/4" clearance is the issue.

We ended up adding the bumper hitch (bought it from Amazon) as suggested by others and it fits wonderfully. We are still waiting for the safety struts to arrive at the campground for the added support. We already had the bike rack just needed to figure out how to get a hitch on the bumper and safely use it.

Which model swagman do you have installed on your 3029?

Following along to see how the struts work out. I was looking at mine last year and it looked like it would be a pain to install them. I think some skirting would have needed to be removed and reinstalled.

We added the safety struts. Wasn't too hard. Not sure you can see them in this photo. The biggest problem for us was the hill we were parked on and how high we had to lift the bikes. We are very happy.

We have an Arvika... the tongue is not the best place for it (too high and the struts block the battery box). We installed a hitch on the front of the truck and that works but DW doesn't like the extra length on the front and the bikes sit high enough to be in the line of sight. So now we've installed the Mount-n-Lock 4SQUARE SafetyStruts and the bikes ride on the back.
The assembly is incredibly strong but not without issues... the straps Arvika provides are not up to the task of keeping the bikes in place on the bouncing rack.
We met a couple who made their own straps with webbing and velcro and claim they're far superior, so we'll try that next.

UPDATE: A closer look reveals that one of the upper hold down clamps has broken (middle bike) and the inner bike bounced enough for the handlebars to scratch one of the rear decals. Bye-bye, rear rack!
