Wingman for antenna

Good morning,
After reading the post about TV RECEPTION, thought I would jump in with a question about the Wingman accessory. I bought one for my 2604, but do not have enough room between the AC and the Antenna to install. Can the Antenna be rotated so it will face the opposite direction when lowered? Or, am I out of luck and need to return it? Any thoughts or suggestions out there? Thanks,

Can the Wingman be installed on the opposite side of the antenna, if there is clearance?

The bracket is in the way. Would have to rotate the head 180 degrees to the opposite side, if it is even feasible. Good a fixing things, but not at reengineering.

The Wingman can only be mounted on the non-post side.

I read somewhere that cutting the outer cross-bars off is OK, but not might pick up quite a good of signal. By my understanding there are no wires in the Wingman, so a hacksaw should do the trick.

I am not sure if rotating the antennae is doable or not. That would put the post aimed towards the front of the trailer instead of in the tailing position. And would that cause other clearance problems ??

I had the same issue and ended up just giving it to friends that could use it. I couldn't figure out a way to get it to fit. My reception is decent anyway...but thought I would make it spectacular!

Forget about the spectacular reception with the Wingman. In my case, I don't think I can pick up any more stations than before while sitting in my driveway, but I no longer have the weak reception "pixelation" problems that I had without the Wingman.

I think I am going to return it. Thanks. This has been a good discussion. To bad, I get good reception, but wanted a few more channels. Oh wrll, that's RVing. Later,

Looking back over some of my old posts, it looks I got 17 channels before adding the Wingman, and 21 after adding that puppy. I am picking up some Richmond channels that are ~75 miles away.

With Digital TV it is all or nothing. Since there is no "snow" as in analog, if the signal is strong enough to distiguish between ones and zeros, you have a great (awesome) picture. If not; zilch.

The Wingman increases signal strength.
