Winnebago??
Has anyone compared the Rockwood Mini Lites to the Winnebago Minnie line? Both my sister/brother-in law and my brother/sister-in-law are shopping for their first trailers and one of them found the Winnebago. I don't know anything about them.

There's no telling what responses you'll get asking a Forest River forum about Winnebagos.

Check out Grand Design. They were acquired by Winnebago in late 2016. Winnebago has copied some of their floor plans.

I did a comparison, and the ML walked all over the MW. The MW was so dark inside. However... I did find the CCC of the MW interesting. The 1801 FB dry weight was 3300# and CCC 3700#.

Have compared various Minnies with Rockwood Mini and Flagstaff Micro. Seems like the Rockwood and Flagstaff have more standard equip and better layouts and better Murphy Bed (if that's what they want) than the Winnebagos. I'm currently a Lance owner and would go with Rockwood or Flagstaff (and may do so). Also like the decor options of the Forest River choices better than the Winnegagos...but that's a very personal choice. Happy Trails.

Winnies seem so “sterile”. No warmth or depth in my opinion. Very plain interiors. The exteriors can be eye catching though. So perhaps nice to look at but not live in......

Yes, we did when we sold our 1995 Sunline 4 yrs. ago.
We went with Rockwood for two important (to us) reasons. (1) Winnebago had NO ceiling vents other than the bathroom and (2) fewer windows.
I like to have fresh air when I camping.

You'd go from a Lance to a Forest River product? Why? I thought Lance were very well built.

We were down to 4 models on our shortlist - 3 Rockwood (2104S, 2109S and 2304KS) plus the new Micro Minnie 2108DS from Winnebago. Saw one at a recent show. What I like - the layout with the TV location, flip up counter extension, bathroom storage, heated tanks and cargo capacity. What I do not like - too narrow at 7', smaller water tanks, no wifi ranger, no grill/prep table, less ground clearance, no maxxair vent, no camera prep, bland interior, 20lb tanks vs 30lb. Our list is now at 3 lol

We almost went with a Minnie Winnie 2106ds . But after sitting awhile in both, the 2109s won. They"re wider and have more storage. Quality is comparable on both.
