Winterizing ?

I have a 8289 fifth wheel, I winterized it but was wondering about the fresh water line from the tank to the pump, does it self drain?

I've wondered the same thing myself. My tank & pump are on opposite sides of the trailer with 6 or 8 feet between them. When I was done winterizing I redirected the pump back to the fresh water tank hoping the antifreeze would blend with whatever is left in that section of the line. Worked fine last year.

I wonder if turning on the pump with the fresh tank empty will pull whatever is left in the lines out. Probably should've done this before I started the process and not after.

When I winterized in Moline & Bolingbrook, IL, I just removed the pump and drained the lines in a can. Re-installed the pump the next spring.

It might or it might not. On a previous trailer I had a low point drain near
that line that would drain it. My current TT does not have one so I open
a faucet and blow a shot of compressed air thru the city water inlet to
make sure it's drained.

You have a back flow preventer at the pump. That way city water won't flow to the tank and antifreeze won't flow back to the tank. The hose between tank and pump should drain to the tank.

There is a portion of the waterline that is difficult to drain and that is from the city water inlet to where you start the antifreeze.

When all lines are full of antifreeze, open a faucet until the pressure is very low. Then remove the small screen at the city water inlet, stand to the side and very carefully push the valve inside just a little bit. The remaining pressure will push antifreeze out. At full pressure, this step would be quite exciting and believe me, that red stuff tastes nasty.
