2005 SV235RS slide motor - replacement?
Greetings. This is my first ever post on the internet. I hope I can get it right!
The slide motor on my 2005 Surveyor SV235RS burned up a few months ago. I have no idea why, though the switch - for the second time (first time the motor seemed OK) melted with no warning. This time, the motor overheated and is currently non-functional. This happened after seemingly normal operation of the slide/switch. Shortly afterwords, we would discover (smell) the melting switch. I have removed the motor - left the gearbox in place as it's necessary for manual operation. (We had lots of booked weekends) Now that it's winterized, I'm ready to try to get it fixed/replaced. I have already tried my local FR Surveyor dealer parts department. However, as helpful as they tried, they were unsuccessful at getting anywhere with a replacement. If they can't, I'm not sure who can help me? That's why I've come here.
For what it's worth - Klauber Machine & Gear Model K01330H500, S/N D04, HP 1/6, RPM 269 VDC 12, AMPS 20.0, INT DUTY.
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions. And yes, I've tried to contact FR with no luck.
