2008 SV233T, all surveyor axles

Hello,

New to the forum here but I thought I would drop a quick note to see if there are any other 233 owners out there???? We picked up our unit last summer and it has been in the shop with 2 broken axles since August (I was told the factory installed the wrong axles during assembly). I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has had any of these or any other failures with their units.

Let me know,

Matt from Canada

I would think that your axle issue is relatively unique. Our Surveyor has been very trouble free.

Hi Matt,
Sorry to hear about your problems with your Surveyor. We've had our SV291 for 2 trouble free years and can't say enough great things about it. I hope that your case was an isolated one and it is taken care of soon.

Thanks for the feedback on the axle issue. After speaking with my dealer the issue was FR originally only put 2 2500# axles on a 5500# trailer. The speac parts came in and my dealer noticed they sent 2 3500# axles. FR never admitted any problem but my dealer said that the 3500# axles should have been on there to begin with because there is supposed to be at least a 15% safety net on the max trailer weight. Nevertheless, I should be good to go for the 2009 season.

2008 nights camped = 28 (even with the trailer pulled off the road in early Aug)
