2009 sv 304

I see that Forest River has the 2009 Surveryor Brochure up on their site.

It looks like they have changed the layout of the Model we like (SV 304).

Now it seems to have the narrow entertainment unit with two doors as opposed to the thick one with lots of storage and one door. Not a big deal, but we like the storage aspect of the 2008.

Also to me it looks like they have a second door into the trailer through the bathroom. I wonder if that is just a typo and it should be shown my the bunks were the big emergency exit/storage door is usually.

I am not so sure that the 2nd door through the bathroom is such a bad idea. If you are outside and you hafta potty, then that would save you a trip going through the whole trailer. You would just hafta remember to unlock the outside door before going out, and be really careful that both door are locked before using the bathroom, or you could be in for a big surprise.

It may be. The SV300 shows it to be in the bathroom also.

Yes, there are changes. the 264 has a longer slide now and a different pass-through to the bedroom.

I guess I'll have to hunt down a 2008 or early 2009 before the change was made as we like the old layout better.

Well I have a 2008 304, and I can tell you a good reason they added the outside bathroom door--its difficult to get into the bathroom when the slide out is closed (impossible if the bathroom door is closed and slide out is in.

This comes into play when you make a pit stop road side and the kids need to use the bathroom..it'd be nice not to have to move the slide out...

Pantry is a nice addition as well.

They also redesigned it to be the same as the 294. One less set of parts to inventory. It also gives you about 8 inches of room. You also have the ability to spin the TV around from the living room to the living room. I bought a 294 because of the weight I love it, I wish I could have pulled the 304. There is still alot of storage even with losing the one closet. The other advantage is you do not have to walk around the bed.
