I have towed my trailer with my Ram 1500 and Dad's GMC 2500 and there is no comparison between the 2. With the Duramax Diesel I don't even know its there. Having said that though, I feel comfortable towing with my Ram within a few hours of home. I would never take this to the mountains without Dad's Diesel. I am aware of payload issues and I usually tow empty and I am usually the only person in the truck. We usually have 2 vehicles when we camp as I quite often commute to work from our camping spot.

Well then that Hemi suits you and your family well then! I apologize if I came off as to tell you the Hemi wasn't capable or that you shouldn't. I know when I had my Hemi I had no complaints what so ever with it. But we planned on getting a bigger camper as well as hitting the mountains with our camper. I also plan to attach a Jet ski to the back of the camper again at some point as I did with the previous camper.

Only thing better than that Duramax would be a cummins though!
