2016 Surveyor 226RBDS - rear cargo rack?

Does anyone have one? My dealer has told me that they have been discontinued for 2016. have seen some bike racks, but the capacity is not there for what I need (250lbs vs the 150lbs of the bike rack) wondering what rating is on yours, as the dealer is giving me mixed info of between 250 and 300 lbs when they were available

I have Surveyor and know rear bumper is only designed to hold spare tire. I have mounted my waste tank on back bumper but it weighs less than 30 lbs. On my previous camper I installed cargo carrier to rear bumper and bumper started tearing away from frame. Good thing I caught it in time. You may want to mount bikes in front above gas tanks; I have seen this before and carrier is mounted to frame and bikes are above tanks. I tried ladder bike carrier and it started pulling ladder from camper and would not advice this either.

I have the factory cargo rack on my 2013 Surveyor 220. Sticker on the rack says max 250 pounds. I have never needed it.

There are lots of sad tales about attempting to mount weight on rear bumpers. I'd exercise extreme caution.

My camper came with warning about attaching anything to rear bumper.

Yeah, unless it came factory equipped like mine, I wouldn't do it.

one of the main reasons we bought the surveyor was for the rear cargo rack. looking at the frame, it is significantly better built than our salem was, and the factory rack mounts on the frame rails, not on the bumper. I barely trust the bumper with the spare tire to be honest. however did get the hitch weight checked, and I will definitely have no issues with lost hitch weight (its porky for this size of trailer)

Wehave the 226rbds and had the rear rack factory installed when we bought it new. The sticker says max 150 lbs. not including the spare tire. We've used it a lot to carry two bicycles. Love it.
