216BXHL Not Hot Water

I have a 2015 Surveyor. The hot water heater works, but we only get luke warm water, anytime. I've looked for a balancing valve, maybe I'll have to pull one if the access panels to fund it, since nothing's jumping out at me? Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

You're on the right track. Look at where the water heater is on the outside, then figure out how to get to the backside of the water heater from inside the RV. You may have to remove a fake cabinet door, drawer, etc to access the bypass valves on the rear of it. You probably have either an incorrect set bypass valve (not fully closed) or a bad one. This is common

If you have the 3 valve system, you will need the handles turned like in the pic for normal use to keep the cold water from mixing in with the hot water:

Make sure your external showers valve are shut off, or even your valve on the main shower, sometime you might just shut the shower using the valve on the shower head, as for result cold water will return in the hot lines.

Good luck.

There should be a panel between the hopper and the back side of your water heater.

On my 2013 Surveyor there is a panel between the hopper and the back side of the water heater. Four screws, #1phillips tip is all you need to get access to it.

This is a "propane only" system.
